Natural ingredients for lipsticks
Waxes, butters and vegetable oils make up this section of natural ingredients for lipsticks. They are the necessary raw materials so that you can make your own homemade cocoas in a completely natural and ecological way. With them, you will show off soft and hydrated lips and say goodbye to dryness.
When making a homemade lip balm you can choose to use natural waxes or butters. To these ingredients you will have to add oils to fill your elaborations with properties. In this section you will find waxes in pearls and flakes to make it more comfortable to melt them. For example, we have beeswax.
As for butters, you can buy cocoa, mango or shea. All are very moisturizing, hence they are ideal for making this type of preparation. You just have to weigh the indicated amount and melt the butters in the microwave. You can combine the butters with each other and even add a small amount of wax.
Balms protect lips exposed to cold or wind, forming a thin film that keeps them hydrated and prevents them from drying out. To make them at home, in addition to waxes and shortenings, vegetable oils are needed. In this section you will find great allies to take care of your lips. This is the case of babassu oil, which slows down the peeling of the skin and nourishes chapped lips. It softens the skin and gives it a juicier and more nourishing appearance.
Another good option is coconut oil: it contains very beneficial fatty acids and the skin absorbs it easily, so it nourishes in depth. Meanwhile, rosehip oil repairs chapped lips, moisturizes and protects them. It is ideal to combat dryness and irritation. Another great ally is argan oil since, thanks to its restorative properties, it helps repair damaged skin on the lips. It is absorbed very well, so it regenerates in depth.
These are some of the examples of the most beneficial oils for the lips, but in this section you will find many more. In the product sheet of each of them you will see more detailed information about their properties and how to use. In addition, in our blogs you will discover recipes to make homemade lip balms.
