How to make scented ceramics
Below we show you step by step how to make scented ceramics with this mold. You will see how simple it is!
- 1. Weigh the resin in water or plaster and put some of the heavy material in a mortar to disperse a pinch of pigment. When it is well integrated, incorporate what we have weighed. Keep in mind that pigments have a lot of intensity, so you have to add a small amount. You can also leave the figures blank. In that case, don't add pigment.
- 2. Add water in the appropriate proportions and stir until you get a homogeneous dough and lumps.
3. Fill the mold and tap on the countertop so that the dough reaches all the nooks and crannies.
4. Let dry to unmold. Important! The figure must be well dried to prevent it from breaking the unmolding.
To perfume them you have to spray the figures on the back with a mixture of alcohol 96 (70%) and aromatic essence (30%).
If you are going to use this mold with polyurethane resin, keep in mind that it is advisable to apply a release agent. The reason? In some cases this resin can react with the components of the silicone and damage the mold or cause the figure to stick. To prevent this from happening you just have to apply a thin layer of release agent in the mold before pouring the polyurethane resin mixture.
