Homemade Communion Favors
Do you want to create homemade Communion favors? At Gran Velada, we offer you a complete kit to make beautiful soaps completely by hand.
The kits contain everything you need, and we give you the option to personalize them by choosing the mold you like the most from the three available options:
Praying Boy: Mold to make an oval soap bar with the relief of a praying boy. The young boy is depicted kneeling and holding a bouquet of flowers in his hand.
Praying Girl: Female version of the previous mold.
Little Horse: Mold to create soap in the shape of a fun little horse. This two-dimensional mold features the silhouette of a pony.
Communion Soaps
Making your own Communion soaps is easier than it may seem. The first thing you need to do is weigh the indicated amount of soap. If you're using the little horse mold, you need 180 g; for the other two molds, 150 g for each design. You don't need to melt the two kilograms at once!
With this amount of soap, you can fill the two molds you've chosen and make two soap bars. How? Cut the soap into cubes and melt it in the microwave at a low temperature, without letting it boil.
Once it's liquid, add the coloring and the aromatic essence and mix well. Then, simply pour it into the molds and wait for them to dry. Since they're silicone molds, the soap bars are easy to remove as they don't stick.
Now, it's time to repeat the process to make all the soap bars! With the amount of soap provided in the kit and the little horse mold, you can make around 22 soap bars. Meanwhile, using the praying boy or praying girl molds, you'll get approximately 28 Communion soaps for each design.
